Amanda Young is a simulation specialist at the University of Delaware's Center for Simulation Innovation, Interdisciplinary Education and Entrepreneurship. She has been employed since 2020 working across the nursing curriculum. Amanda is an expert simulation facilitator as well as a seasoned nursing educator focused on psychomotor skills competency attainment and remediation. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2011 and has a clinical background in Surgical/Trauma critical care. She is also a certified Clinical Nurse Specialist with a specialty in the Gerontological population. Amanda is interested in advancing the use of simulation across disciplines within the university and is focused on creating interprofessional partnerships to further the use of simulation beyond healthcare.
