Amanda Ward is a clinical assistant professor at Purdue University and current Assistant Head of Undergraduate Academic Affairs. She works with both traditional and second-degree students during their nursing fundamental and medical-surgical classes. Amanda has focused her research on improving the precepting process in nursing, simulation in nursing education, and the implementation and evaluation of integrated clinicals combining medical-surgical and mental health BSN students. Amanda Ward is a certified nurse educator. She has also worked at the bedside as an emergency nurse for the past twenty years. Amanda Ward earned her BSN and MSN in nursing from Ball State University. She received her DNP from Purdue University in 2016.
