Emily Day is an instructor of clinical teaching at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, College of Nursing who instructs nursing students in the undergraduate program. Emily has worked as an RN in both burn and surgical/trauma intensive care units across the country. While working as a clinical educator, she decided to expand her role and knowledge in the nursing field by returning to school for her MSN in Nursing Education. She has been with the College of Nursing since March 2022 and in her role instructs students in both simulation and clinical practice. Emily is interested in further investigation of the use of simulation to bridge the academic-practice gap, as well as simulation's role in competency based education.
