Considering Climate Influences in all Seasons Through Simulation

Abstract : In a region that sees all seasons of weather extremes, simulation has an opportunity to educate prelicensure BSN students in a variety of seasons and settings. In a community health nursing course, where students may take the course in the summer, fall, or spring semester, students have limited clinical exposure to what their clients face in opposite seasons. Setting simulation scenarios in various seasons allows the learner to expand their knowledge of what clients may experience in seasons that differ from their assigned clinical semester, expanding their understanding of the clients barriers throughout the year.
