Jacqueline LaManna received a BSN from Purdue University in 1985; MSN from University of Florida in 1991, and PhD in nursing from University of Central Florida in 2013. She has been a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner since 1991 and holds additional certifications in advanced diabetes management and as a certified diabetes educator. Dr. LaManna has been a faculty member in the University of Central Florida's College of Nursing since 2005. She served as a lab coordinator, teaching fundamentals and medical surgical nursing courses and campus coordinator for their basic BSN program. In that role, she collaborated with undergraduate faculty in the early introduction of simulation activites to the undergraduate program. Dr. LaManna current teaches in the primary care nurse practitioner tracks and collaborates with the simulation team in integrating and delivering simulation experiences including standardized patients and virtual simulation in the ARPN program. She has also been active in conducting research in advance practice nursing education and telehealth.
