Jessica Szydlowski is an assistant professor and assistant program director of the Duke University Nurse Anesthesia Program in Durham, NC. She teaches in the basic principles of anesthesia, advanced principles of nurse anesthesia, specialty techniques, pharmacology, simulation and clinical courses. She received a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and philosophy from the University of Miami, a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Mount Saint Mary College, and both a MSN and DNP from Columbia University. She currently serves on the INACSL Healthcare Simulation Standards for Best Practice Debriefing Subcommittee and APRN Special Interest Group. Dr. Szydlowski is interested in advancing the science of simulationi through competency-based assessment and technology in healthcare.
