I am empoyee by Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia in a full time Assistant Teaching Professor position. I have been involved with simulation since 2010 in a variety of roles and completed the National League for Nursing (NLN) Leadership For Simualtion Eductors Certification in 2013. I presently teach Health and Health Proomotion 1 as well as clinical practice in Long Term Care, year 1 and acute care year 3 within BScN program. I am a member of the research team for BC Global Interdisciplinary Therapeutic Communication (BC-GITC), co-authored the Open Educational Textbook and assisted in the creation of the VIrtual Simulation Game which is embedded in the textbook. My areas of interest include using simulation to enhance safe practice for learners, building stronger communication skills for interdisciplinary teams and using games for building critical thinking/decision making skills.
