Susan Wintermeyer-Pingel, DNP, RN, ACNS-BC
Dr. Wintermeyer-Pingel graduated from the University of Michigan School of Nursing, receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing. She received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Concordia University - Wisconsin. Dr. Wintermeyer-Pingel’s practice has focused on caring for patients and families coping with life-threatening hematologic/oncologic illnesses. She has experience as a clinical instructor for junior, senior, and graduate nurse practitioner students at the University of Michigan. She also is certified as an Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. Dr. Wintermeyer-Pingel's simulation experience focuses on reducing weight bias to prepare nursing students to deliver equity-driven nursing practice. Her area of expertise and scholarship also includes working with students, faculty, staff, and patients and families experiencing grief and bereavement after experiencing a significant loss or transition.
