Heather Mekulski is the Program Manager of Healthcare Theatre at the University of Delaware. She has specialized experience in strategic planning and implementation, external communications, event coordination, and organizational management. Heather attended the University of Delaware and received her bachelor’s in mass communication before working at the New Castle County Board of Realtors as the Marketing and Communications Director. Heather then returned to her alma mater in 2020 to work with Healthcare Theatre, a program close to her heart that she has been a part of since 2014 as a performer and standardized participant. In 2022, Heather received her master’s in strategic communications also at the University of Delaware. Heather Mekulski has facilitated and presented simulation modalities and SP education at multiple local and national conferences. In her position, Heather most enjoys the opportunity to partner with faculty from multiple disciplines to create innovative education opportunities for learners to practice their communication skills in a safe environment that empowers all to grow.
