Dr. Marie Lindley currently serves as the Associate Dean for Simulation and Compliance at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. She graduated with a PhD in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014. Dr. Lindley has 30 years of nursing experience, including clinical ER practice, clinical education, acute care nurse practitioner, and leadership positions including time as a co-CNO. She has been teaching undergraduate courses in health assessment and simulation as well as graduate nursing leadership courses for 14 years. She also has been in academic leadership roles for 7 years. Dr. Lindley has presented scholarly works related to her passion which is educational technology and simulation. Examples include implementing telepresence robots for rural students to engage in simulation and the use of the Community of Inquiry framework in the development of online simulations. In her service to the profession, she serves as a member of the Texas Nurses Association (TNA) Policy Council, as well as President-Elect for TNA District 4 (Dallas). This June, she will serve as a TNA representative to the American Nurses Association Leadership Assembly in Washington DC. She is a member of INACSL, SSH, STT, and NLN.
